Identity Presets

The preset system allows members to:

• Create named identity presets
• Save multiple identities to their account
• Activate a different preset whenever they want
• Clearly see which preset is currently active
• Delete saved presets
• Automatically fall back to another preset if the active identity is deleted​

Duplicate preset names are prevented for the same member.

Preset names support up to 50 characters.

Administrators can also configure how many presets each member may create, with support for limits between 1 and 25 presets.

Development note: The component framework and capability definitions are already present. The individual appearance editors are being completed and tested component-by-component before being enabled globally.

Effects & Accessibility

Members can control how Identity Studio effects are displayed to them.

• Full Effects — Display all permitted styling and animation
• Reduced Motion — Keep visual styling while reducing motion-heavy effects
• Static Only — Display identity styling without animation
• Hide Custom Identities — Use the standard XenForo presentation instead​

This gives members control over visual effects without forcing animated customisation on everyone.

Administrator Control

Identity Studio includes its own XenForo configuration and permission system.

Administrators can:

• Enable or disable Identity Studio globally
• Set the maximum number of presets available per member
• Require the dedicated Identity Studio permission
• Control access to Identity Studio
• Control access to animated identity effects​

Identity Studio includes its own Admin CP area under:

The dashboard provides information covering:
