◆ EGGY NETWORK UPDATE ◆
Introducing the New Eggy UX
A more consistent, structured and recognisably Eggy experience across the network.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We’ve started rolling out a completely refreshed Eggy user experience across the network.
This isn’t simply a new colour scheme or a collection of cosmetic changes.
The new Eggy UX introduces a much more deliberate visual system throughout the community, with stronger hierarchy, clearer separation between content, improved readability and a more consistent identity between the different services that make up Eggy.
A major part of that work has also been bringing the Eggy BNC Dashboard into the same visual family as the main Eggy community.

◆ Built Around Our Own Velqeris Theme
The foundation of the new Eggy UX comes from Velqeris — our own XenForo style designed and developed by Eggy.
Velqeris was created around a simple principle:
A dark XenForo style does not need to feel flat, generic or overloaded.
Instead, Velqeris uses a carefully controlled visual hierarchy built around deep structured surfaces, strong contrast and selective accent colours.
The Velqeris design language includes:
- Deep navy structured surfaces that give different parts of the interface clear definition
- Cyan and teal interface accents for information, navigation and interactive elements
- Warm gold hierarchy highlights for important areas and visual emphasis
- Clearly defined panels and content areas
- Stronger separation between information and actions
- Distinctive forum and node presentation
- Responsive desktop and mobile layouts
- A consistent visual hierarchy throughout XenForo
We’ve taken that underlying design philosophy and adapted it specifically around the needs of the Eggy Network.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
◆ A More Structured Forum Experience
One of the most noticeable changes is the way information is organised throughout the community.
Forum categories and individual nodes now have a much stronger visual hierarchy.
Rather than every piece of information competing for attention, each part of the interface has a much clearer purpose.
- Forum titles and descriptions remain the primary focus
- Thread and message counts are presented as supporting information
- Latest activity has its own clearly defined area
- Prefixes and statuses can stand out without overwhelming the surrounding interface
- Important actions are easier to identify at a glance
The result is a forum index that contains the same useful XenForo information while being considerably easier to scan and understand.
You’ll see the new design language throughout:
- Forum categories and nodes
- Thread and message information
- Navigation
- Sidebars and widgets
- Thread prefixes
- User status presentation
- Important actions and controls
- Service notices
- Content panels
- Responsive layouts
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
◆ A Consistent Eggy Colour Hierarchy
The new UX also introduces a much more controlled approach to colour.
Deep navy and blue-toned surfaces form the foundation of the interface.
Cyan and teal are used for secondary information, interactive elements and interface accents.
Gold is used selectively for hierarchy, important highlights and areas that deserve additional emphasis.
This also means stronger colours can be reserved for elements that genuinely need their own identity, including:
- Premium member titles
- Customer status
- Staff and special user groups
- Thread prefixes
- Service states
- Warnings and important notices
That gives the interface considerably more character without turning every component into a competing accent colour.

◆ The Eggy BNC Dashboard Has Received the New UX Too
The Eggy BNC Dashboard has also received the new Eggy UX.
This was an important part of the project.
As Eggy has expanded, the dashboard has become a major part of the network. We didn’t want moving between the community and the dashboard to feel like moving between two unrelated websites.
The goal is simple:
Moving between Eggy services should feel like moving between different areas of the same platform.
The dashboard therefore now follows the same overall design principles as the refreshed community.
- Consistent structured panel hierarchy
- Unified Eggy navigation styling
- Dark navy interface surfaces
- Cyan and gold accent language
- Clearer separation between information and controls
- Improved account and service-state presentation
- More deliberate typography and spacing
- Better desktop and mobile consistency
The underlying BNC systems, integrations and functionality remain the same.
What has changed is how those systems are presented — making the dashboard feel considerably more polished and much more closely connected to the wider Eggy experience.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
◆ One Identity Across Eggy
This update is ultimately about creating a stronger identity across the entire Eggy Network.
As we’ve introduced more services, tools, integrations and dedicated areas, it has become increasingly important that they don’t feel like unrelated applications simply linked together.
The new Eggy UX gives us a common design language that can continue to grow across the network while allowing each individual service to retain its own functionality.
Whether you’re:
- Browsing the community
- Reading support content
- Checking forum activity
- Managing your BNC account
- Using the dashboard
- Accessing other Eggy services
…the goal is for each area to feel like part of one connected Eggy platform.

◆ Want This Look on Your Own XenForo Community?
Because the design foundation behind the new Eggy UX comes from Velqeris, XenForo administrators can also use the underlying style on their own communities.

Velqeris provides the underlying visual identity, forum hierarchy and responsive experience that inspired the refreshed Eggy interface.
Our own Eggy installation naturally includes additional service-specific customisation built around the systems we operate, but Velqeris is the design foundation from which the new Eggy UX has evolved.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
◆ Designed by Eggy
Velqeris isn’t a third-party style that we have simply installed and recoloured.
It is our own design.
That means the new Eggy UX is increasingly being built around a visual system that we control ourselves and can continue developing alongside the services we create.
It gives us much greater freedom to keep the forum, dashboard and future Eggy services visually aligned as the network continues to evolve.

Welcome to the new Eggy UX.
